In our design process, we start with an esthetic review to understand the client's preferences, followed by determining the lifestyle or professional requirements of the space. We then engage in space planning, make initial selections for materials, finishes, and furniture, create 3D renderings, and conduct an initial cost analysis with a contractor.
In our renovation and contracting services, we cover a wide range of areas, including flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, roofing, and general contracting. We also specialize in landscaping, pool contracting, door and window installations, as well as aluminum and gypsum work.
In the design and construction drawing phase, we cover a comprehensive range of elements including demolition plans, construction plans, electrical plans, phone and data plans, lighting plans, finish plans, and a schedule of all approved materials. This phase also entails creating interior and exterior elevations, detailed millwork drawings for custom woodwork, cabinetry, and built-in furniture, along with schedules for windows, doors, plumbing fixtures, and appliances. Additionally, we address exterior hardscape plans, all necessary construction details, site plans as mandated by local authorities, parking studies if needed, and any general construction notes in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
In the Furniture and Finishes phase, we focus on a comprehensive range of tasks. This includes selecting construction finishes such as tile, stone, hardwood, wallcovering, and countertops essential for the project. We also create furniture plans that integrate existing and new furniture, shop alongside the client, and meticulously choose all decorative finishes, from wall coverings, paint, and faux finishes to window treatments, flooring, light fixtures, accessories, and even custom pieces tailored to the space. Additionally, we guide the selection of appliances, plumbing fixtures, both functional and decorative lighting, and art to complete the overall design.
When it comes to budgeting, we meticulously assess all decorative materials for the project, including furniture, lighting, and finishes. We then review contractor bids with the client and negotiate bids on their behalf. Moreover, our extensive expertise enables us to adapt and "phase" projects to meet specific budgetary requirements effectively.
In our project management and submittals phase, we ensure seamless coordination with the client's architect and structural engineer when required. We also collaborate with landscape designers on design, plantings, and exterior lighting as needed. Moreover, we handle various submittals on the client's behalf, including those to Building Management, Home Owners Association, Historical Review Boards, Cultural Heritage Review, Health Department, and Architectural Review Board.
